Accommodation Arrangements

General Information

The conference organizer has made arrangements for attractive and affordable accommodation packages with several hotels for conference delegates. Except for Orchid Country Club (OCC), the venue of the conference, the other hotels are all situated in downtown Singapore about 25 minutes (off-peak) drive to OCC, with easy access to shopping and other attractions. Although pre-arranged, free-of-charge transport is available to ferry delegates from downtown hotels to the conference venue before and after the conference, travel from downtown hotels to OCC is also very convenient either by taxi (~S$15 per car trip of up to 4 passengers) or Mass Rapid Transit (MRT / train) system. A single trip MRT pass cost about S$1.60 from downtown Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to Yishun MRT Station. From Yishun MRT Station to OCC, delegates may board the courtesy shuttle service (next to NTUC Fairprice Supermarket).

Terms & Conditions for Room Reservations

All reservation must be confirmed by 15 October 2002.
Reservations are based on first-come-first-serve basis.
Reservations received after 15 October 2002 are subject to room availability
All Room Rates are inclusive of Breakfast.
Reservations must be guaranteed by full payment upon booking. Major credit cards, i.e., AMEX, MasterCard, VISA, Diners, and JCB, are accepted.
International Bank Draft must be in US Dollars, drawn on a Singapore bank and made payable to “ORCHID COUNTRY CLUB”.
Transfer (Hotel – OCC and OCC – Hotel, one way transfer each before & after the conference each day) will be provided for guests staying at the recommended hotels from 18 Nov ’02 to 22 Nov ’02.
One night room rate will be imposed for no-show reservations.
One night room rate will be imposed for reservations cancelled after 15 October 2002.
