- Intelligent computation in Air Traffic Control and Management (ATC/ATM) is an interesting topic for researchers from air transportation, operation research and computer science (1992 – now). The research is supported by CNPq, FINEP and in the cooperation with Atech, ITA and CINDACTA I of Brazilian Air Force. Please also see TransTech page.
- AntWeb has been developed in two generations and with three main utilities: to evaluate the structure of Web sites, ant-searching on the Web site and as an adaptive Web system.
- Intelligent Transportation System (ITS): the group developed an ITS protocol for urban bus transportation system in Brasilia. The research is supported by CNPq and the University of Calgary.
- Computational Finance: they participated the projects in Brazilian Central Bank and Caixa Economica Federal. Please see their publications in this area.
- Quantum Neural Networks is his study interesting, this is a review about this topic (1999-2001).
- The project of the application of Neural Networks in meteorological signal analyses. Please see some interesting papers (1994-2000).
- Research of Negative Entropy – The Sequence of the complex System Structure - (1988 - now). After publication of this paper, the topic is still interesting in these 23 years, there are 65 citations in CNKI, 2011.
